All 2004 and newer GM vehicles are equipped with the GM Oil Life System (OLS), a computer-based system that measures various engine and vehicle parameters to determine when an oil change is required. When the “Change Oil” light in your Driver Information Center appears, it means that service is required for your vehicle, as soon as possible, within the next 600 miles.
When you bring your GM vehicle in, we will likely perform one of two service packages – Maintenance I or Maintenance II. We perform only the services that you need, depending on your current mileage and what services we did on your previous visit. Required services will begin with the Maintenance I schedule, followed by Maintenance II, and alternated thereafter.
